Hi, I’m Verena. For more than 15 years I’ve been looking after guests, teams and all the little details behind the world’s biggest sporting events – from six Olympic Games to UEFA and FIFA finals. I make sure everything runs smoothly, so everyone else can enjoy the moment.

ABOUT
Why vim?
vim /vɪm/ noun – energy, enthusiasm, drive
It’s the word that sums up how I approach every project: with lots of energy, a clear head and a genuine love for people. Behind every great event there are hundreds of moving parts – teams, suppliers, schedules, VIP guests and the occasional surprise. I bring it all together and stay calm when things get busy.
I grew up in hospitality. I trained at the tourism school in Krems, gained my first experience in top-level gastronomy, and later studied Tourism and Leisure Management at MCI Innsbruck. That’s where I learned that real hospitality is about the small things: a warm welcome, a name remembered, a problem solved before anyone notices.
Since 2012, I’ve worked as a freelance event and project manager based in Vienna – working onsite wherever the event takes me, from Lausanne to Tokyo, Abu Dhabi to New York. I work in German and English – and happily get by with a bit of French and Spanish.
